Newmark arranges $508 million sale of Alabama lifestyle center

Newmark arranged the sale of The Summit, an 870,000-square-foot mixed-use lifestyle center in Birmingham, Alabama, for USD 508 million. The transaction was Alabama's largest single-property commercial real estate sale by purchase price. The seller was JDJ and the buyer was Federal Realty. The property was approximately 95% leased at closing.
