Xcel Energy to Sell Michigan Gas and Electric Operations

Xcel Energy has agreed to sell its Michigan natural gas operations to SEMCO and its electric operations to UPPCO. The transactions are pending state and federal regulatory approvals, with a projected closing in 2027. Approximately 6,000 gas and 9,000 electric customers are expected to transfer to the new operators.
