Thyssenkrupp Nucera to open Portuguese electrolyzer hub

Thyssenkrupp Nucera signed a lease for a 7,500-square-meter building in VGP Park Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal, near Porto, to centralize its European electrolyzer cell assembly operations. Construction is set to start in winter 2026, with assembly targeted for 2028. The planned investment totals EUR 10 million to EUR 14 million, supported by EUR 3.7 million of Portuguese government funding.
