Columbia Gas lifts critical day for storage injections

Columbia Gas Transmission has lifted its critical day notice for storage injections, effective for October 6, 2026. Previously, critical days were in effect from September 18, 2026, due to forecasted supply, reduced demand, high storage levels, and firm injection requirements.

Columbia Gas Transmission, LLC (TCO) has lifted the Critical Day for Storage Injections effective intraday for Gas Day Tuesday, October 6, 2026, according to a notice posted 10/06/26 7:07:30 AM. The effective date in the notice is 10/06/26 4:00:00 AM and the end date is 11/06/26 5:00:00 AM. TCO said it reserves the right to issue Critical Days as future conditions warrant. The operator said the change was based on forecast supply and markets.

The notice also referenced a previous posting under which Critical Days for storage injections were required effective Gas Day Friday, September 18, 2026, until further notice. Columbia Gas Transmission said forecast supply, reduced market demand, above-average storage levels and firm storage injection requirements mean all available storage injection capacity will be needed to meet firm service obligations. The transporter said no interruptible storage injection services will be available and due pipe nominations will be set to zero, while storage withdrawal services are not affected by the notice. 00 per Dth for injections above their SCQ.
