California bans BPA, bisphenols in paper receipts from 2028

California has enacted legislation to phase out intentionally added BPA and other bisphenols in paper receipts, with the ban taking effect Jan. 1, 2028, and a broader restriction on other bisphenols starting Jan. 1, 2029.
