Italy regulator probes AI music startup Suno over terms of service

Italy's antitrust authority has opened an investigation into AI music startup Suno, stating that some clauses in its terms of service may be unfair to consumers. The watchdog said Suno's terms could create an imbalance by giving the company broad discretion to unilaterally modify its contract and prices without justification. It also noted that the license granted by users was excessively broad and included a waiver of moral rights, potentially conflicting with Italian copyright law. Suno's terms also mandate dispute resolution through U.S. arbitration and waive class-action rights.
