Jefferies Avoids French Bonds on Contagion Risk

Jefferies is staying away from French government bonds due to contagion risks, according to global economist Mohit Kumar. The firm fears that spreads moving above 150 basis points could trigger contagion not only to other French entities but also to European peripherals, with deficit concerns posing a greater risk.
