Reflection AI launches Beam, its first open-weight model, to rival Chinese rivals

Nvidia-backed Reflection AI on Monday debuted its first open-weight model, Beam, aiming to compete with Chinese models like DeepSeek and Kimi on coding and agentic tasks. Beam has 501 billion total parameters but activates only 23 billion per task for speed and cost efficiency.
