Alterity Therapeutics ATH434 Slows MSA Decline by 52% in Phase 2 Trial
Alterity Therapeutics reported new Phase 2 analyses for its drug ATH434, showing that a 50 mg dosage significantly slowed functional decline by approximately 52% compared to a placebo over 52 weeks, as measured by the UMSARS scale. This result was adjusted for baseline levels of cerebrospinal fluid neurofilament light (CSF NfL), which is expected to be used as a covariate in Phase 3 trials.
Alterity reported new Phase 2 analyses showing ATH434 50 mg significantly slowed functional decline by about 52% versus placebo on the 11-item UMSARS at Week 52 after adjusting for baseline CSF NfL. CSF NfL predicted decline and will be used as a covariate for Phase 3.
