Asia Stocks Higher on US Jobs Data, Thin Volumes

Asian stock markets saw gains, led by Tokyo's Nikkei 225 which jumped 2.4%. Other markets like Hong Kong, Mumbai, Singapore, and Sydney also posted modest increases. Trading volumes were generally thin.
