Enrollment Milestones Ahead Bisignano made the remarks Friday on CNBC’s “Power Lunch.” He said about 7 million children have already had their accounts activated by a parent or guardian filing the required form, and that 25 million accounts are expected to be funded by mid-October. He credited early momentum to contributions from Michael Dell, founder and CEO of Dell Technologies Inc. (NYSE: DELL ), and Susan Dell, as well as the efforts of Indiana’s Brad Gerstner, whom he called “a founding member” of the concept. Bisignano said roughly 72 companies have signed on to offer matching grants for newborns, with more donors expected to join. He added that Social Security’s records of existing cardholders are being used to reach families who haven’t yet activated their children’s accounts, with banks and tax preparers also helping spread awareness. He pointed to a mobile app that lets families track their account’s growth in real time. Read Also: How To Open a Trump Account? Everything
