Google Launches Prototype AI Satellite Into Orbit

Google's Alphabet unit has successfully launched a prototype satellite into orbit as part of an initiative to assess the performance of its artificial-intelligence processors in space. The satellite was developed in collaboration with Planet Labs and carried aboard SpaceX's Transporter-18 mission.
