Eurozone inflation surges to three-year high

The year-on-year change in the harmonised consumer price index for the Eurozone rose to 3.8% in September, up from 3.2% in August. This marks the highest annual inflation rate since September 2023 and surpassed the 3.6% economists had anticipated. Prices also increased by 0.6% month-on-month.
