DAX Gains Ground

Frankfurt’s DAX 40 extended early gains on Friday, rising 0.6% toward 25,100, led by tech stocks, while relief came from lower oil prices and easing bond yields. Reports of a possible release of European countries' oil reserves following a French proposal helped to ease some energy-driven inflation concerns. Meanwhile, Eurozone inflation spiked to 3.8% year-over-year in September, marking the highest rate in three years and topping analysts' forecasts of 3.6%.However, attention remained focused on the Middle East, where prospects for a truce between the United States and Iran appears increasingly distant. According to the Wall Street Journal, Washington is sending a third aircraft carrier to the Middle East with an additional 10,000 American troops.
