Wetherspoons Reports Annual Profit Slide Amid Rising Costs

Wetherspoons' revenues rose 5.2% to £2.24bn in the 52 weeks to July 26. However, pre-tax profits before separately disclosed items fell 28% to £58.6m, impacted by a 5.3% increase in costs including wages, repairs, and business rates.
