Yields retreat from 24-year high, lifting US stocks
US stocks turned higher and eked out minor gains as Treasury yields retreated from their highest level in 24 years.
US stocks moved higher on Thursday and finished with small gains as Treasury yields pulled back after an earlier rise had taken the benchmark 10-year yield to its highest point in 24 years. The rebound in equities followed a drop in yields, reversing the earlier move that had pushed the benchmark 10-year rate to a 24-year high.
