IMF: Senegal Official Creditors Agree to Form Committee

Senegal's authorities have reached an agreement with bilateral creditors to establish an official creditor committee in the coming weeks, according to the International Monetary Fund. The announcement follows meetings regarding the country's debt treatment.

Senegalese authorities held talks with bilateral creditors on the country’s upcoming debt treatment, and the International Monetary Fund said on Thursday that an agreement has been reached to form an official creditor committee in the coming weeks. IMF spokesperson Julie Kozack told reporters during a regular briefing that the committee is expected to be set up in the coming weeks.
