Land Securities Buys UK Metrocentre Mall for $684 Million, Raises 500 Million Pounds

Land Securities has agreed to acquire the Metrocentre shopping mall in the United Kingdom for 516 million pounds ($684.4 million). To finance the purchase, the real estate investment trust also conducted an equity raise of approximately 500 million pounds.
