Scatec ASA Starts 900 MW Egypt Wind Project, Secures $150M EBL
Scatec ASA has commenced construction on the 900 MW Shadwan wind project in Egypt. The company also secured $150 million in three-year equity bridge loans from The Arab Energy Fund, with $50 million allocated to the Shadwan project and $100 million to the Energy Valley project. The total capital expenditure for Shadwan is $716 million, and the first phase is anticipated to reach commercial operation by the end of 2027.
