Colombia jobless rate rises to 9.1% in August
Colombia's urban jobless rate rose to 9.1% in August from 7.8% a year earlier, the government statistics agency DANE said. The national unemployment rate was 9.1%, up from 8.6% a year earlier.

The urban jobless rate is more closely watched by financial markets than the national figure. Nearly 70% of the workforce is in large cities.
