Shepherd launches workers' compensation offering with Core Specialty

Construction insurtech Shepherd has launched a new workers' compensation offering through Core Specialty subsidiary StarStone, expanding its primary casualty offering to include workers' comp alongside general liability and commercial auto. The program, effective July 1, received National Council on Compensation Insurance approval in August and is eligible in 36 states plus D.C., with plans to cover the full 47-jurisdiction market by mid-2027.
