Synopsys, Amazon sign multi-year silicon IP deal worth over $1 billion
Synopsys signed a multi-year agreement with Amazon using its silicon IP and AI-driven engineering tools, with the deal value exceeding $1 billion. The pact shifts Synopsys' silicon IP business toward a license-plus-royalty model tied to production volumes. Collaboration also covers Amazon's expanded use of Synopsys EDA, simulation, and agentic AI to speed chip and system design.
