US PCE Inflation Strengthens; Consumer Spending Solid in August

August PCE inflation showed strength, with core PCE rising 0.2% monthly and 3.0% annually. Personal consumption expenditures surged by 0.9% to $190.8bn, driven by a significant increase in both goods and services spending. Real PCE rose by a solid 0.6%.
