Sept 30 (Reuters) — STOCKS: The benchmark BSE Sensex closed 0.07% lower at 72,480.29 and the broader NSE Nifty 50 index slid 0.42% to 22,620.45, bothlogging their steepest monthly declines since March, as foreign investors fled risky assets after soaring oil prices kept inflation worries centre stage and global central banks hiked interest rates..BO Rupee: The Indian rupee rose 0.16% to 95.83 per US dollar, landing among the worst performers in Asia this quarter and over the last thirty days, hit by worries over the impact on India's oil-import dependent economy from elevated crude prices, while surging global bond yields added to headwinds for local assets. INR/ Government Bonds: The benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 98.29 rupees, with the yield up 2.51 bps at 7.1879%. IN/ Overnight Index Swaps: The one-year overnight index swap rate was up 2.25 basis points at 6.21%, while the five-year swap rate dropped 1 bps to 6.65%. Call Money: India's overnight call money rate was at 5.25% and the overnight TREPS rate was at 5.15%.
