Virtus Solis signs 20-year space solar PPA with Brae Systems for 250 MW
The company said the contract is for 100 MW of 24/7 orbital solar baseload power, delivering 876,000 MWh annually, with an option for Brae to expand capacity to 250 MW within three years of initial commercial operations.
Sept. 30 (Reuters) - Virtus Solis said it has signed a 20-year space solar power purchase agreement with Brae Systems to deliver 250 MW of orbital baseload clean power. Under the contract, Virtus Solis will supply 100 MW of 24/7 orbital solar baseload power, with output of 876,000 MWh annually. The agreement also gives Brae the option to expand capacity to 250 MW within 3 years of initial commercial operations.
