Aramco Trading sells 10 million bbl Khafji crude to Asian refiners

SINGAPORE/NEW DELHI, Sept 30 (Reuters) — Aramco Trading has sold about 10 million barrels of Khafji crude to Asian refiners in a tender closed on Tuesday, trade sources said. Following are some details of the tender result: South Korea's GS Caltex and China's Shenghong Petrochemical each bought 2 million barrels. India's Hindustan Petroleum Corp Ltd, Indian Oil Corp and Reliance each bought 2 million barrels. The oil is for loading via ship-to-ship transfers at Fujairah in late October to November.
Some of the deals were concluded at a discount of $8 per barrel to November Dubai benchmark. The companies typically do not comment on their commercial trades. This is the third tender by Aramco Trading for the Khafji crude in about two weeks time. The previous two tenders were awarded to China and India.
