Turkey August trade deficit widens 22.3% to $5.24 billion

Turkey's foreign trade deficit widened 22.3% year-on-year to $5.24 billion in August, while exports rose 8.1% to $23.46 billion and imports increased 10.5% to $28.70 billion, Turkish Statistical Institute data showed. In January-August, the deficit widened 9.3% to $65.79 billion.
