Elkem invests NOK 260 million to renew furnace at Rana plant in Norway

Elkem ASA will invest NOK 260 million to renew a furnace and off-gas equipment at its Elkem Rana plant, starting installation in Q1 2027, to extend ferrosilicon and Microsilica production. Upgrade targets higher reliability, tighter process control, improved energy efficiency and lower dust and process emissions.
