Thailand August factory output rises 4.44% y/y, beating forecast

Thailand’s manufacturing production index rose 4.44% in August from a year earlier, versus a 1.0% forecast in a Reuters poll. The industry ministry revised July’s MPI to +3.97% y/y and lifted its 2026 factory output forecast to 2.75% to 3.75% from 0.25% earlier.
