Yuan heads for seventh straight quarterly gain as exporters sell dollars

China's yuan firmed against the dollar and was set for a seventh straight quarterly gain as exporters stepped up dollar sales ahead of the National Day holiday. The People's Bank of China set the midpoint at 6.7351 per dollar, its strongest since February 2, 2023.
