Tropical Storm Polo weakens inland as heavy rain spreads across Mexico

The National Hurricane Center said Polo weakened to a tropical storm as it moved farther inland, with strong winds and heavy rain spreading across northwestern Mexico. It said the remnants should cross southern New Mexico and far western Texas later tonight or early Tuesday.
