(Adds details in bullets 1-3) BRASILIA, Sept 29 (Reuters) — Brazil's economy created a net 165,827 formal jobs in August, data from the Labor Ministry showed on Tuesday, above the 97,826 net openings expected by economists in a Reuters poll. The net figure accounts for 2,294,563 jobs opened and 2,128,736 closed during the period, the ministry said. 2% year-on-year, but marked the second weakest performance for the month in the government's historical series, which goes back to 2020. From January to August, a net of 1,134,033 formal jobs were created in Brazil, an about 25% decline year-on-year.
