Scotiabank joins BIS-IIF Project Agorá to test wholesale cross-border payments tokenization

Scotiabank joined Project Agorá, a BIS-IIF public-private collaboration focused on wholesale cross-border payments, testing tokenization and programmability for atomic multi-currency settlement using tokenized deposits and central bank reserves; participation builds on real-value testing completed in July 2026.
