The FTSE 100 Index Closes 0.57% Lower

The FTSE 100 Index dropped 61 points or 0.57 percent on Tuesday to close at 10623 points. Losses were led by Ithaca Energy (-4.34%), J Sainsbury (-2.41%) and British American Tobacco (-2.34%). Offsetting the fall, top gainers were Weir (2.51%), Spirax-Sarco Engineering (2.31%) and Intercontinental Hotels (2.02%).
