Waga Energy signs 10-year contract with FCC Medioambiente for RNG project near Granada

Waga Energy will finance, build, own and operate a WAGABOX unit to upgrade landfill gas at Ecocentral near Granada, Spain, targeting start-up in 2028. Output is expected at 273,000 MMBtu of RNG per year (about 16,000 Spanish households’ gas use), with up to 1,500 scfm landfill gas capacity and RNG injected via an about 4-mile pipeline. The project is expected to avoid about 19,000 metric tons of CO2-equivalent emissions per year.
