Barrick Mining targets 3 million ounces a year in North America exploration
Barrick said its North America exploration push aims to sustain production of at least 3 million ounces a year, with drilling planned at Kb, Crow, Meadow, Goldrush and Fourmile over the next 12 months.
Sept. 29 — Barrick Mining Corp said its North America exploration program is aimed at sustaining production of at least 3 million ounces a year. The company said drilling is planned over the next 12 months at Kb, Crow, Meadow, Goldrush and Fourmile. Barrick also said it expects Cortez output to reach 1 million ounces a year on a 100% basis for more than a decade.
It said Nevada Gold Mines output is expected to exceed 3 million ounces a year beyond 2030. Barrick added that the Lumwana super pit expansion is expected to double copper output to 240000 tonnes a year and extend mine life to 30 years.
