BMS Group appoints Paul Sheriff as group CFO, effective in November
BMS Group appointed Paul Sheriff as group chief financial officer and executive director, taking over from Charlie Rozes, who will leave after a succession planning process. Sheriff will be based in London and report to CEO Nick Cook; he will assume the role in November.
By Navneeta Nandan Sept 29 (The Insurer) — BMS Group has appointed Paul Sheriff as group chief financial officer and executive director, the (re)insurance broker announced on Tuesday. He will assume his new role in November, taking over from Charlie Rozes, who is leaving the company after a succession planning process. Sheriff will be based in London and report to BMS Group CEO Nick Cook. With over 30 years of experience, Sheriff joins BMS from KKR-backed NewDay, where he was the CFO and chief operating officer.
Prior to that, he served as CFO and COO across Legatum (Dubai), Record, and Arbuthnot Banking Group. Cook said that Rozes will remain a "significant shareholder and investor in BMS". On September 1, BMS formally relocated its London headquarters to The Gherkin. In August, the (re)insurance broker named Richard Dudley as reinsurance chief in addition to his existing role as chief broking officer.
