Novo Nordisk says Ozempic 2 mg cuts major cardiovascular event risk vs Mounjaro
Novo Nordisk said real-world analysis at EASD found Ozempic (semaglutide) 2 mg was linked to a 6% lower risk of major cardiovascular events versus switching to Mounjaro (tirzepatide).
Sept 29 — Novo Nordisk A/S said its Ozempic (semaglutide) 2 mg was associated with a lower risk of major adverse cardiovascular events, including death, heart attack and stroke, in adults with type 2 diabetes compared with switching to Mounjaro (tirzepatide) in a real-world analysis presented at EASD. The company said semaglutide 2 mg dose escalation was linked to a 6% lower risk of major cardiovascular events, and said Ozempic 2 mg was associated with a lower risk versus Mounjaro.
