Cloudflare plans public certificate authority for post-quantum web

Cloudflare said it intends to become a public certificate authority and will support both traditional encryption and post-quantum Merkle Tree Certificates. It also agreed to acquire publicly trusted Root CA key material from GlobalSign, with issuance of classical certificates to begin after browser root program acceptance.
