Momentus completes AI-enabled on-orbit rendezvous demo with Vigoride-7

Momentus said its Vigoride-7 completed an on-orbit rendezvous and proximity operations demonstration, using AI-enabled LiDAR, infrared and optical sensors to track a NASA CubeSat across varying distances and lighting. The mission was funded under a USD 1.86 million SpaceWERX Space Maneuver Challenge contract, and also validated Solstar’s Deke communications terminal for spacecraft-to-spacecraft links and imagery downlink.
