Nord Precious Metals advances engineering and permitting for Gowganda silver tailings recovery project
Nord said it is advancing engineering and permitting for a surface tailings silver-recovery operation at its Gowganda project, defining equipment and process-water systems including plans to draw water from underground mines. It noted Canada’s proposed “Productivity Mega Deduction” would allow 100% expensing of eligible equipment acquired on or after Sept. 15, 2026, but draft measures were unenacted as of Sept. 26, 2026, leaving eligibility of Gowganda-related spending unresolved. Nord reported C$29.93 million in non-capital tax-loss carryforwards at Dec. 31, 2025.
