Scorpio Tankers agrees to buy four newbuilding tankers for $415.6 million
The company will buy two LR2 product tankers for $72.8 million each and two scrubber-fitted VLCC newbuildings for $135 million each, with deliveries in Sept/Oct 2028. LR2 deliveries are expected in Oct/Nov 2029. Construction is at Jiangsu Hantong, with fleet renewal partly funded by planned sales of three product tankers for $180.5 million expected to close by end-2026.
