Israel kills Hamas armed wing head Izz al-Din Al-Beik in Gaza, officials say

An Israeli airstrike on Tuesday killed Izz al-Din Al-Beik, who was identified as the head of Hamas' armed wing in the northern Gaza Strip, Israeli and Palestinian sources said. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defence Minister Israel Katz said the military had targeted and killed Beik, whom they said had been involved in planning attacks and recruiting militants.
