National Hurricane Center issues Tropical Weather Outlook: Fay and Hanna active; no formation expected
The National Hurricane Center said at 200 AM EDT on Tue Sep 29 2026 that it is issuing advisories on Tropical Storm Fay, which is well to the west-southwest of the Azores, and Tropical Storm Hanna, which is well to the east-northeast of Bermuda. For the North Atlantic, Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of America, the center said tropical cyclone formation is not expected over the next 7 days. Public advisories on Tropical Storm Hanna are being issued under WMO header WTNT33 KNHC and AWIPS header MIATCPAT3. Forecast/advisories on Hanna are being issued under WMO header WTNT23 KNHC and AWIPS header MIATCMAT3.
