Yuan firms as exporters convert dollars ahead of National Day holiday

The spot yuan strengthened to 6.7057 per dollar, 61 pips firmer than the previous close, as exporters converted dollar holdings before the week-long holiday. The People's Bank of China set the midpoint at 6.7411 per dollar, tighter than Reuters' estimate.
