Citizens says higher rates are shifting insurance broker M&A

Citizens' Peter Wesemeier said the Fed's latest rate hike is unlikely to change insurance M&A on its own, but higher borrowing costs are pushing buyers toward organic growth and strategic fit. He said the market is moving away from merger arbitrage and toward more selective dealmaking.
