Natural Gas Pipeline declares force majeure at compressor station 302
The operator said a unit outage at Compressor Station 302 in Montgomery County, Texas, limits eastbound throughput into Segment 25. It will schedule Primary Firm and Secondary in-path Firm transports to no less than 80% of contract MDQ through CS 302 from the evening cycle on Sept. 29 until further notice.
Natural Gas Pipeline said it has declared force majeure at compressor station 302 after a unit outage at the facility in Montgomery County, Texas. The notice said the restriction affects segment 25 of Natural's Texok Zone and requires a reduction in maximum operating capacity eastbound into segment 25 from segment 26 and segment 22, limiting throughput eastbound through CS 302. Natural said the scheduling constraint will be at CS 302, and gas received west of the station for delivery east of it will be affected for the duration of the restriction.
The pooling point for the Texok Zone, LOC 10560, is west of the constraint, and firm transportation tied to storage injections or withdrawals may be impacted. The notice was posted on 9/28/2026, took effect on 09/28/2026 and is due to end on 09/29/2026. For gas day Tuesday, September 29, 2026, EveningCycle and until further notice, Natural will schedule Primary Firm and Secondary in-path Firm transports at no less than 80% of contract MDQ through CS 302. AOR/ITS and Secondary out-of-path Firm transports will not be available for the duration of the restriction.
Natural said the scheduling percentage reflects the current level of firm capacity contracted during the restriction and may change depending on operational conditions and shipper utilization. The company said it will update shippers on any changes related to the force majeure event through its interactive website.
