ECB will work on new euro swap lines, Lagarde says
Lagarde told European lawmakers the ECB will work on swap lines to help foreign central banks borrow euros.
The European Central Bank will work on new swap lines for foreign central banks so they can borrow euros and support the single currency, ECB President Christine Lagarde said on Monday. "We will be working on swap lines that will be more responsive to the imperative of having a sovereign euro area and a strong euro," Lagarde told European lawmakers.
