XGS Energy selected for DOE funding to advance New Mexico geothermal project

The U.S. Department of Energy selected XGS Energy for federal funding to support drilling of a deep vertical appraisal well in New Mexico. The company said the project is meant to generate subsurface data and reduce development uncertainty, but DOE said selection is not a commitment to issue an award.
