S&P 500 price and earnings stretch may signal leaner returns ahead

Ned Davis Research said the S&P 500 stands 85% above its long-term trendline, while earnings are 66% above trend. The report said the longest stretch of both price and earnings more than 30% above trendlines has now reached 25 months.
